True Lies

While Harry portrays himself to be a boring computer salesman, unbeknownst to his wife, Helen, he is actually a secret agent. Looking for adventure, Helen befriends Simon, a used car salesman who masquerades as an agent. When Harry and his cohorts prank Helen into believing she’s on a secret mission, things go awry when the terrorist Harry has been tracking kidnaps him and Helen in an adventure of a lifetime. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “True Lies”.
· At the beginning of the movie, Harry walks into the party and sees Juno Skinner. Juno is wearing a black gown with two straps over each shoulder. He proceeds to go upstairs and download the needed information. When he returns to the party downstairs, he runs into Juno and her dress now has a single strap over each shoulder.
· Helen, Harry and Dana are having dinner at the table. When Dana is first shown, she is wearing a light green shirt with dark stripes with smaller brown and yellow stripes along with a brown beaded necklace. After Helen mentions “the tow truck driver took such a long time”, a view of Dana shows her shirt is now a darker green with dark stripes and no necklace.
· Harry and Helen have been captured and are trying to escape. When one of Salim Abu Aziz’s men grabs Harry, Helen starts firing the gun at the others but accidently drops the weapon down the stairs. As the gun bounces down the steps, it continues to fire, taking out the other men. As the last three men approach and are hit by the gunfire, an overhead view of the last man falling shows the gun, to his left, as it bounces off the step and onto the floor, landing in front of a standing pole. The scene then cuts to a close-up of the gun which is still falling down the stairs and comes to rest on one of the steps. When Harry stands up and looks over at the men on the ground, the gun can be seen on the ground in front of the pole where it originally landed.
“True Lies” (1994) stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, Bill Paxton, Tia Carrere, Art Malik, Eliza Dushku, Grant Heslov, and Charlton Heston. It runs 141 minutes and is rated R for action/violence and some language.
